Assen

The Assen circuit is situated south of Groningen in Northern Holland, 125 miles from Amsterdam. It was built in 1955 and has a capacity of over 61,000 seats and more than 100,000 standing places. Many riders consider the 4.55km track to be one of the most challenging in the world due to its banked corners and often wet conditions, although the track has recently been modified for safety reasons.
 
The Superbike World Championship round held at Assen is always a close race, with an electric atmosphere.
